Do You Vape? Are You Thinking About It”

If you vape or are thinking about it you may want to think again.

The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) recently announced 95 people have said they developed severe lung disease from vaping.

In the United States, more than 1,000 cases have been reported. If you think it won’t hit close to home, one case has already been reported in Montgomery County. Of the 95 cases in Texas, 48 were in North Texas and one case has even resulted in death.

The ages range from 13 to 75, but the median age is 22. Vaping companies target youth by providing flavored products. Some users combine THC (the active ingredient in marijuana) and other chemicals in their e-cigarettes for flavor or to get high.

How can I break the habit?

Originally thought of as a safe way to wean yourself off tobacco, e-cigarettes have become an unregulated health risk. The Federal government is banning flavors that attract younger users, but they are leaving the tobacco flavors alone for now.

If you’re vaping to quit smoking, there is a much healthier, safer and more effective way to quit. Smoking is not an addiction! Nicotine is the only thing addictive in cigarettes and it leaves your body in about 72 hours when you stop. Most of that in the first 24 hours.

It’s your emotions that really drive your tobacco cravings. Also habitual behaviors and associations with other triggers. For example, coffee drinking or alcohol use, or even stress, anxiety, or anger, etc.

I offer a low-cost, holistic alternative to help you “kick the habit”. So make your non-smoking status a permanent solution. Hypnosis is a safe, holistic and relaxing way to quit tobacco use, whether its cigarettes, cigars, pipes, or smokeless. Most clients are successful and see results in their very first session. When you quit smoking you quickly see a return on your investment. Soon you’ll enjoy having more money from the savings of not buying cigarettes or other smoke products.
