Pain And Grief Management

According to the American Psychological Association “Hypnosis is likely to be effective for most people suffering from diverse forms of pain…”, click here for the full article.

Hypnosis is a great way to help control pain and grief without the need for narcotic drugs.  If you are on prescription medications, or not taking any medication and just don’t want to start, hypnosis can help you control your pain.  By controlling it your doctor could cut your medications.

*If you are under a doctor’s care you will need a referral before any hypnosis for this issue

At Conroe Life Changes we use private hypnosis sessions to find and release the mental cause. We release or diminish the pain and reprogram the subconscious to permanently release the reasons for it.  We also use Hypnosis follow-up counseling sessions to regenerate or restore body parts affected by it and for general health improvement.

There are no drugs involved, no special training needed, no surgery involved. There is also no anxiety or stress, no electrical shock or treatment, no physical change needed and no needles and no need for intravenous or muscular invasion.

How Much Is Physical and How Much Psychological

Of all the suffering Americans have today, 95% of it is from chronic pain. 70% of that is psychologically generated. At Conroe Life Changes we help you remove or change the mental and psychological components of it. Conroe Life Changes uses Cell Command Therapy™ to help you diminish or end it entirely.  You can increase your body’s threshold for it so that it’s not even felt using this form of hypnosis.

Can Hypnosis Help With Medical Testing Pain?

Through the self-hypnosis techniques we teach you, you can even lessen the effects of acute pain when it is safe for you to do so.  Many intrusive medical methods such as injections, and medical testing are painless using these self-hypnosis techniques.

There are many types of pain that we experience and the causes are vast, but the thing to remember is that the physical type is a communication between an affected area and our brain.  If communication between the injury and the brain stops we don’t feel it.  Many physicians can prescribe medication which acts as a disruptor and interferes with the communication process.  What hypnosis does is help you to mentally interrupt this communication with thought, specifically with subconscious thought.

We make no medical claims about this process, but it has been proven that hypnosis is an effective method for controlling pain in certain people.  Prior to anesthesia, hypnosis was effectively used to numb limbs before surgical amputation. Of course when drugs became available that reduced the time frame required for anesthesia. Drugs were more readily available then hypnotists were. That is why popularity of using hypnosis for amputations faded.  Hypnosis can end or diminish the need for some medications.  You should consult a physician before applying any relief strategy.

According to the A.P.A. (American Psychological Association) Hypnosis can help relieve pain from:

  • Interventional radiology
  • Surgeries (e.g. appendectomies, tumor excisions)
  • Burn treatment (dressing changes and debridement)
  • Child-birth labor
  • Bone marrow aspiration
  • Dental work (especially with children)
  • Headache
  • Backache
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Carcinoma-related pain
  • Temporal mandibular disorder
  • Mixed chronic pain

Another Form of Pain That Hypnosis Can Help With is Grief

Grief is a feeling of loss and bereavement usually due to a death of a loved one or even a pet. It can also happen when a cherished relationship or place of esteem is lost. Grieving is a process that is natural, but for some people it may also be debilitating. Kind words said to help someone who is grieving may even serve to make the problem worse. You may believe “we can’t help how we feel”, but that is not entirely true.

Negatively dwelling on your loss could cause your mind to program you to continue feeling grief and may cause bitter resentment toward anyone who is trying to help you deal with it. Constantly replaying bitter or painful thoughts can also have disastrous effects to your health and limit your ability to recover and enjoy life once again.

Hypnosis can help you lessen the emotional feelings of bereavement and other causes of grief. It programs your subconscious mind with positive thoughts and hopeful sentiments.

How Hypnosis Can Help You With Your Grief

  • Realize and accept the loss
  • Accept the feelings of sadness and regret as a normal part of the healing process
  • Re-acclimate to life going on despite the loss
  • The healing process is not about forgetting, but rather remembering and cherishing the good memories.
